We made a quick visit to Nishinomiya yesterday to visit some of the locations from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. My favourite was the pond where Haruhi shoots a part of her film, I just wish I had taken my MiniDV camcorder with me for an authentic experience! I love that many anime choose to use real locations as settings; it's so cool that I can go to these places and connect with the stories I like in a different way.
